Meet the Staff
These are our Teaching staff:
Mrs Robinson
The Head Teacher is Mrs. Rachel Robinson. She has been at the school since September 2006. As well as management responsibilities, her special area of curriculum leadership responsibility is PSHCE. She deals with the child protection issues and looks after the statemented pupils’ provision in school. She runs a hobbies club on Monday lunchtimes for Year 6 and helps the school council to make important decisions. Mrs Robinson is an Ex-Officio member of the Governing Body.
Mrs Thompson
Mrs Thompson is one of our Assistant Heads. She is the Key Stage 1 Leader and has responsibility for the leadership of English, Assessment, Excellence and Enjoyment, Playground and currently teaches in Year 4. Mrs Thompson is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and joined the staff in 1995. She runs a drama club on Monday lunchtimes for children in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6. Mrs Thompson is an Associated Member of the Governing Body.
Mrs Mayfield
Mrs Mayfield joined us in 2001 and is one of the school’s Assistant Heads. She teaches in Year 5 and is the Key Stage 2 Leader. Her curriculum responsibilities include the leadership of Assessment, Music, Every Child Matters and Special Educational Needs. She is a member of the Senior Leadership team. Mrs Mayfield is an Associated Member of the Governing Body.
Mrs Appleyard
Mrs Appleyard teaches in Reception. She joined the staff in 1992 and has responsibility for the leadership of Art and RE throughout the school. She runs an after-school art club for Years 3/4 on Tuesdays.
Miss Imrie

Miss Imrie was welcomed onto the school team in September 2004. She teaches Year 2 and has responsibility for Science. She runs an after-school Netball club on Thursdays fro Years 5/6.
Mrs Havercroft
Mrs Havercroft teaches in Years 3, 4 and 5 for two days per week. She joined the staff in 1995 and is the Maths leader for the whole school.
Mr Joice
Mr Joice has taught at the school for 16 years. He teaches in Year 1 and has leadership responsibility for ICT and History. He is also a member of our Governing Body, with particular interest in Health and Safety issues.
Mrs Brett

Mrs Brett is in her seventh year of teaching at the school. She is currently working in Year 6 and has leadership responsibility in PE and PSHCE throughout the school.
Mr McDonnell
Mr McDonnell was our Graduate Teacher in Training with Year 5 for the academic year 2005-6.
Mrs Bateman

Mrs Bateman joined the team in September 2006 and teachers in Year 3. She has leadership responsibility for Modern Foreign Lanuguages.
These are our Classroom Support staff:
Mrs Ingleby
Mrs Ingleby is a child support assistant, based in Years 1 and 3. She joined the staff in 2002 and supports children who have statements of Special Educational Needs. She runs an after-school needlework club for Years 2/3 on Thursdays with Miss Mayfield.
Mrs Guzel
Mrs Guzel is the nursery nurse who is based in Reception. She has been at the school since January 2003.

Mrs Robinson joined the Reception team as a Teaching Assistant in September 2005. She is also a Parent Foundation Governor.
Mrs Williams

Mrs Williams joined the team as a Teaching Assistant in September 2005. She currently supports classes in Key Stage 2 and works with children on a one-to-one basis.
Mrs Bilton
Mrs. Bilton has been a Classroom Support Assistant at the school since 1999. She works in Year 2 with a child on a one-to-one basis. She is also a Mid-day Supervisor.
Mrs Skipworth

Mrs Skipworth joined the team as a Teaching Assistant during the Autumn Term 2004. She is currently working in Year 4 and supports a child on a one-to-one basis. She begins her school day giving administrativew support. Mrs Skipworth is the elected Parent Governor.
Mrs Middleton

Mrs Middleton is an experienced Classroom Support Assistant, currently working in Year 6 and Year 1. She has been on the staff for 19 years and is one of our Governors. She has responsibility for Continuing Professional Development and Design and Technology. She runs a lunchtime gardening club and is an active member of the PFA. She is also a staff representative on the Governing Body.
Mr Smith

Mr Smith is a qualified Specialist Teaching Assistant working in Year 5 with responsibility for the Library. He runs after-school football clubs for Years 5/6 on Mondays and Years 3/4 on Fridays and also a reading club on Friday lunchtimes for all year groups. He joined the staff in 1997.
Mrs Gay

Mrs Gay has worked at the school since 1998 and currently works in Year 1. She is a qualified dance instructor and supports the PE curriculum through dance. She also provides choreography for school productions.
Mrs Cooper

Mrs Cooper has worked at the school since September 2001 and currently works in Year 2. She supports Miss Imrie with the netball club and Mrs Mayfield with administrative duties.
Mrs Horrigan

Mrs Horrigan has worked at the school since September 1999 and currently works in Year 3.
Miss Mayfield

Miss Mayfield has worked at the since January 2005. She works with a child with on a one-to-one basis and runs the sewing club with Mrs Ingleby.
Miss Stewart
Miss Stewart has worked at the school since September 2003. She currently works in the Reception Class with a child on a one-to-one basis.

Miss Thomson joined the team during the Autumn Term 2007 and works in Years 1 and 5 with children on a one-to-one basis. She is also a Breakfast Club and Lunchtime Supervisor.
Mr Bateman
Mr Bateman joined the team during the Autumn Term 2006 and works in Years 1 and 4.
Miss Jagger
Miss Jagger joined the Reception team in the Autumn Term 2007. She supports a pupil with special educational needs.
Mrs Chandler

Mrs Chandler has been employed at the school since September 2006. She has provided voluntary classroom support for a number of years. She works in Year 6 and Year 4.

Mrs Waller

Mrs Waller is our Administrative Officer who has worked at the school for 14 years. She has overall responsibility for the school administration and finance monitoring. She is also a Foundation Governor to the school.
Mrs Taylor

Mrs Taylor has worked at the school for 19 years and is an Administrative Assistant, with responsibility for reception duties, organising school meals and monitoring attendance. She is also our Senior Midday Supervisor and First Aider.
Mrs Wheeler

Mrs Wheeler joined the team in the Summer Term of 2005. She is an Administrative Assistant and has responsibility for reception duties, letters to our families, monitoring school funds and liaison for educational visits.
