Staff Trivia- Mrs Ruth Horrigan

Mrs Horrigan’s favourite school memory is of a trip to France. She is a chocoholic morning person. She has a Guinea Pig called Ginger. She is the only one in her family who can’t play a musical instrument. She says that she can’t sing but that doesn’t stop her singing along to the radio – especially in the car. She is not a bad cook but she does have the odd disaster. Her children do like her chocolate fudge cake. She also likes to make bread. (Watch out Warburtons!) If she ruled the world she would make sure that everyone was paid fairly.

Mrs Horrigan has several claims to fame; she once met Derek Jacobi at school, Prince Edward grinned and waved at her from the back of a car when she was 14 and she has even spoken to Colin Firth’s mum on the phone! Some really silly things have happened to Mrs Horrigan! Once, when she was nursing, she was looking after a lady who was waking up after an operation. She smiled and said “Oh, how lovely, an angel!” After a couple of minutes she said “sorry dear, I thought I was in heaven!” Mrs Horrigan has also been mistaken for a cat, but that’s another story……………..
