Thinking Hats Curriculum Evening
Red hats, yellow hats, green hats, black hats, white hats and blue hats invaded our school for our Curriculum Evening on March 30th. The children were introduced to them earlier in the year, our yearly Curriculum Evening gave the parents an opportunity to come and discover what DeBono’s hats are all about. We had a selection of stimulating thinking activities based on DeBono’s thinking hats.
One activity was to find a way of making a raft for a teddy – even Year 6 enjoyed it. It was a white hat activity. This means that you are a neutral thinker – just focusing your thoughts on facts and information. The red hat room caused some real reactions – how do you react to black custard, maggots, worms, mouldy food or Smarties? Further information about Thinking hats can be found here:- Cook Primary School, Australia. or DeBono Group
